What inspired you to become a landscape gardener?

It was a positive mix of everything, really. After a few amazing and intense experiences in well-known landscaping firms on the other side of the world, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and cool team spirit, the idea of creating something meaningful and concrete for a living had a very interesting impact on my younger self.

Where do you gain inspiration for your designs?

Travels, experiences and the natural motions that surround me at a particular moment in time. Sometimes it’s a feeling. Hard to fake it.

What’s good about DaveSide Gardening?

DaveSide Gardening is a natural personal expression. The love for gardens, the client relations, skills improvement, constant learning of industry trends and the passion for the creative process make my small business different and very customer-oriented.

How much do you charge for garden maintenance?

The most famous question I get.

It really depends on the complexity of the job, what the client is seeking, the season we are in, frequency, etc., but generally speaking, flexible agreements for small gardens are available from as low as 150£.

What type of projects are you taking on these days?

Residential clients are leading the way. The requests vary from small bespoke solutions to complete garden makeovers north of 10k. Some interesting partnerships in central London are lined up. Super excited for the future.
